0:00 So let's start with the term turnkey.
0:02 It's often used by exhibit suppliers.
0:05 What exactly does it mean and what can an event planner assume is handled on their behalf?
0:12 We'll never assume right?
0:14 Seek to clarify, I think when you're on the event planner side and you're dealing with a variety of suppliers, I just wouldn't take their terminology at face value.
0:24 I'd want to seek to understand, hey, what does turnkey mean for you guys?
0:28 I had another supplier when they said turnkey, it meant this, that and the other, you know, the spirit of the word.
0:33 I, I think means sort of hands off, like we're going to take care of a suite of things for you.
0:39 But I would still want to be very, very clear with any supplier that you're dealing with.
0:43 What does that mean for you guys?
0:45 Next question, when it comes to trade show exhibits, how flexible and brand specific can a rental exhibit be?
0:53 Rental means that you don't own it.
0:55 That's all it means.
0:56 It should not mean that it is anything less than and on target for your brand.
1:02 By nature, rentals should be the optimal flexible solution.
1:06 It should be the best solution in in a trade show program when you're seeking flexibility and the fact that all the shows are different, the audiences are different, the size of the exhibits are different.
1:16 If you're untethered by what you own, you can create whatever it is that you want.
1:20 OK, so the last question, how does an event planner evaluate an exhibit supplier's reputation, reliability, responsiveness and show floor support?
1:32 I think the best way is really through a peer review.
1:35 Yeah.
1:35 And that can come to you in the way of testimonials reviews.
1:39 But look, there's a community of event planners and exhibitors on every trade show floor.
1:44 And event planners, they have peers ask what's your experience like?
1:48 And if it's not an experience just about what they're dealing with, it's like, who have you heard about?
1:53 You know, how did you hear about that?
1:55 So I wouldn't say take the suppliers word for it.
1:58 I mean, I would believe every exhibit company and the exhibit providers going to paint themselves, oh, we are the best at this.
2:03 We're the best at that, We're the best at this.
2:05 I mean, I would imagine that's what all of the RFI and RFP responses look like.
2:09 But man, if you could get a hold of a peer client testimonials and just hear it from people who are in a role or have an experience similar to you, that's probably where the truth lies.
2:20 Yeah, OK.
2:21 I agree.
2:22 Thank you very much.
2:23 All right, bye.
2:24 Later.
